President Trump has directed federal agencies to stop funds for training on “critical race theory” that teaches anti-American ideals.
The Trump administration recently announced that it would stop funding for “critical race theory,” a far-left idea that teaches “there is racism embedded in the belief that America is the land of opportunity.”
Russell Vought, director of the Office of Management and Budget, released a memo that said critical race theory is “divisive” and “anti-American propaganda.”
“The President has directed me to ensure that Federal agencies cease and desist from using taxpayer dollars to fund these [theories],” Vought stated.
Agencies have been directed to find contracts and other agency funding related to training on “critical race theory” that teaches either that “the United States is an inherently racist or evil country” or that “any race or ethnicity is inherently racist or evil.”
From that point, agencies are directed to identify “all available avenues within the law to cancel any such contracts and/or to divert Federal dollars away from these un-American propaganda training sessions.”

The Federal government employs people of all races, religions and backgrounds.
“We can be proud that Americans from all over the country seek to join our workforce and dedicate themselves to public service,” Vought’s memo stated. “However,” it added, “we cannot accept our employees receiving training that seeks to undercut our core values as Americans and drive division within our workforce.”
President Trump’s administration is rightfully cracking down on ideas that are promoting racial division and teaching false information about the ideals of the United States.
As fellow Americans, we should also call out racism and divisive doctrines where we see them. Our traditional beliefs and values will continue to determine our success as a nation, as long as we continue to defend them.
