This past Easter Sunday, April 21, churches and hotels were bombedin the African country of Sri Lanka. The death toll is over 300 people, and it signifies another attack on Christians and the faithful.

In stark contrast to the New Zealand terrorist attack, where Democrats emphasized islamophobia as a top reason the shooting happened, Democrats claimed the ISIS attacks of the churches in Sri Lanka were an “attack on humanity” instead of what was clearly an attack on Christian worshipers.

Surely the Democratic cheerleader, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez took a strong response to the attacks in Sri Lanka- but this was not the case. In fact, she’s tweeted about the attack on Christians 0times, but tweeted 14times about the New Zealand attack. What is the difference? The victims of Sri Lanka were Christians.

If religious freedom mattered at all to Democrats, maybe they would express sympathy to the Christians attacked in Sri Lanka. Unfortunately, what happened on Easter to Sri Lanka didn’t fit the Democratic agenda, and they have been largely silent and tone-deaf.

But how can we expect real sympathy from the left if their beloved freshman Congresswoman’s strongest words on the horrific terrorist attack on 9/11 was “some people did something.”
