Border fence; Texas border crisis wall

Texas Governor Greg Abbott said the state will begin building its own border wall amid the out-of-control border crisis.

Governor Greg Abbott said Texas will start building its own border wall as the border crisis continues and the Biden administration fails to “do its job.”

Abbott said that Texas “will immediately begin building border barriers in areas where migrants can easily cross the Rio Grande border with Mexico.”

“The influx across the border is out of control, and the Biden administration has shown that [it] is not going to step up and do its job,” the governor said before a border summit in Del Rio, Texas. “And amidst reports of even more people coming in across the border, we know we have to step up and do more.”

The governor also said that authorities will be using Texas state laws and the recent State of Emergency declaration to crack down on migrants illegally crossing the border.

“What people have seen in videos across the country seems to be the Biden administration welcoming these people to the United States,” Abbott said. “We won’t be sending that message.”

Not surprisingly, we are seeing Republican leaders step up to the plate and do the work Democrats are refusing to do. President Biden has failed to protect our southern border and control the massive wave of illegal immigration. He has made it worse by openly inviting migrants to enter the U.S. So now, it’s up to conservatives to do the work of restoring peace and securing the border.
