U.S. Supreme Court; Remain in Mexico Biden

The Supreme Court ruled against Biden this week, effectively reinstating Trump’s ‘Remain in Mexico’ immigration policy.

This week, the Supreme Court ruled against the Biden administration’s effort to end former President Trump’s “Remain in Mexico” policy.

The Biden administration was able to place a hold on the policy, but U.S. District Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk ruled that the administration did not have a sufficient reason for the hold. The administration then went to the Supreme Court to try to block Kacsmaryk’s ruling. But in a 6-3 vote, the Supreme Court defended Kacsmaryk’s decision.

“This [ruling] halts Biden‘s skirting of immigration laws and will reduce the record number of migrants entering illegally,” Texas’s Governor Greg Abbott stated in a tweet.

Texas Senator Ted Cruz also reacted positively to the news, tweeting “Biden’s lawless & disastrous decision to end the Remain in Mexico Policy has led to over 1 million illegal aliens crossing our southern border. Tonight the Supreme Court made clear that Biden must follow the law and reinstate this incredibly important policy.”

The Supreme Court’s decision is a step in the right direction in terms of immigration policy. It kept President Biden and his administration in check, and it will also help mitigate the border crisis that the former has failed to get under control.

As Biden continues to repeal Trump-era policies for completely arbitrary reasons, we need more conservative leaders and politicians who are willing and able to stop him.
