White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders sat down with the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN)to highlight the role Christian faith and family values have played in her career success and the Administration’s policies.
“I think God calls all of us to fill different roles at different times and I think that He wanted Donald Trump to become president,”Sanders said. “That’s why he’s there and I think he has done a tremendous job in supporting a lot of the things that people of faith really care about.”
President Trump has a proven record of success on faith issues. Sanders talked about the role the President is playing in ridding the courts of activist judges who rule without regard to the Constitution. He’s placed two justices on the Supreme Court who care about protecting individual liberties, faith issues, and family values. “There’s a reason evangelicals are sticking with the President, and that’s because he’s delivered on all the things he said he would do.”With Democrats defending late term abortion as a “freedom” this week, there’s even more work to be done.
She also acknowledged the latest showdown in Washington between Republicans and Democrats – the debate over border wall funding. “The same people opposing Trump’s national security measures are the same people who are willing to allow legislation to pass supporting late-term abortion,” Sanders responded after being asked what she thinks of Democratic Speaker Pelosi calling border security ‘immoral.’
For too long the party in power has stood by while Democratic activists and judges have ignored our religious freedoms and individual liberties. Their agenda has expanded abortion access and leaked millions of taxpayer dollars to fund abortions. This Administration is standing up for people of faith every day by leveling the playing field in the courts and bringing religious issues front and center.
Moving away from politics, David Brody, the Chief Political Analyst and Jennifer Wishon, Senior Washington Correspondent wrapped up by asking the White House Press Secretary about her family life and how those strong family values have influenced her drive to be successful in her career.
Although Sanders described her life as a juggle to balance with her husband and three young children, she commented, “It’s so important for our kids to see us engage on things that matter. My oldest is a girl, and I think it’s very important for her to see that as a woman, she can do anything she sets out to do.”
