A recent report suggested that Navy service members have little confidence in the branch’s ability to defend the U.S.
A recent report commissioned by four Republican members of Congress addressed “damaging operational failures in the Navy’s Surface Warfare community.”
The report was conducted by two retired military officers, and it interviewed 77 members of the U.S. Navy. It was revealed that interviewees held a “broad consensus” that the Navy lacks a proper focus on “warfighting skills.”
Many interviewees (94%) believed that recent incidents, which actually prompted the report, were a sign that there are issues with the culture and leadership within the Navy.
A lot of interviewees also mentioned “frustration with nonessential training,” such as “programs to encourage diversity, human sex trafficking prevention, suicide prevention, sexual assault prevention and others.” According to the report, those trainings “consume Navy resources, clog inboxes, create administrative quagmires and monopolize precious training time.”

Not only are ineffective policies affecting our Navy’s war-readiness, members of the Navy itself believe that they’ve led to harmful incidents and have put the lives of service members in danger.
Woke and progressive culture in the U.S. has permeated almost every area of our society. We must be able to draw the line somewhere. If not, our military will be forced to prioritize implementing leftist policies over the ability to defend our great country.
