Representative Jim Jordan condemned the endless, partisan investigations seeking to bring down President Trump.
In a recent op-ed for The Hill, Ohio Representative Jim Jordan expressed what a lot of fellow Americans have been thinking: Partisan investigations against President Trump are “out-of-control.”
Jordan referenced a current investigation by New York Attorney General Letitia James, where a judge recently ruled that Eric Trump must sit for a deposition before the election, after Trump was subpoenaed by the state attorney general’s office.
“No doubt James hopes she can extract some information from Trump that Democrats could manufacture into some sort of fake scandal before the president’s reelection,” Jordan wrote. “To see her true intentions, look no further than her refusal to accept a proposal by Trump to postpone the interview until after the election. If James’s intentions are pure, there would be little practical difference between receiving this testimony in November instead of in October.”
James previously stated that she would utilize “every area of the law” to go after President Trump and his family, as well as those tied to him politically.
Our high-level law enforcement leaders must be fair, not partisan. As Jim Jordan wrote, “James has abused the authority of her office to harass and punish a political opponent.”
Americans have a chance to fight against that abuse this November. We must reject the backward leadership that those like James embody, and we should instead support those who are focused solely on restoring law and order.
