The oldest grassroots Catholic pro-life organization in the nation blasted the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops for congratulating pro-abortion Biden.
Leaders of the American Life League, a Catholic pro-life organization, decried the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops after they congratulated Joe Biden and Kamala Harris for their reported victory in the election.
Archbishop José H. Gomez of Los Angeles and president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops had released a statement congratulating Biden and Harris. The statement also mentions that Biden is “the second United States president to profess the Catholic faith.”
In response, ALL’s co-founder and president, executive vice president and executive director each issued critical statements.
“The USCCB has affirmed what many of us have suspected for many years, and that is that most Catholic bishops have no problem with a Catholic politician spitting at the face of Christ by supporting the vile murder of the preborn,” wrote Judie Brown, the organization’s co-founder and president. “Joe Biden is such a man; he claims to be Catholic, yet he gives 100 percent support for abortion every day of the week and in every manner of brutality against the innocent.”
Pro-abortion politicians like Biden and Harris should be reprimanded by the USCCB, not congratulated!

Pope Francis also congratulated Biden, who praised the pope for his “leadership in promoting peace, reconciliation, and the common bonds of humanity around the world.”
Biden added that he would work with the pope on progressive issues. Unfortunately, for the president-elect, that will not include ending the practice of abortion.
Americans have a duty to defend religious liberty and protect all human life. We can’t be complacent and allow leaders like Joe Biden to continue the threat against these values.
