It’s time something was done about Rep. Ilhan Omar’s blatant display of anti-American rhetoric. Alabama’s State Senate took action to remove the terrorist sympathizer from U.S. Congress yesterday, noting that she doesn’t deserve to serve this great nation. The state of Alabama passed a resolution urging their U.S. delegation to begin the removal proceedings in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Alabama Rep. Tommy Hanes told Fox in a statement: “Rep. Omar is ungrateful to the United States and the opportunities that have been afforded to her. Anyone that holds contempt for America ought not serve this great nation as a member of Congress.” Hanes introduced the legislation because he believes the left permisses Omar’s intolerable comments because of her race and religion, meanwhile slandering Republicans who stand up against her as ‘racist.’ He believes her race and religion are irrelevant when weighing the severity and dangerous nature of her comments.
There’s a long list of reasons this U.S. Congresswoman doesn’t deserve to represent the United States of America anymore. Hanes highlighted perhaps the most concerning facts, saying: “[Omar] has dismissed and minimized the magnitude of the 9/11 terror attacks. Omar also demonized the brave war veterans who fought to liberate her people. Omar is ungrateful to the United States and the opportunities that have been afforded to her. Her rhetoric is despicable and unpatriotic.” Not to mention, this Congresswoman advocated for lenient sentences for ISIS recruits on American soil, frequently speaks at fundraisers for organizations known for funneling money to terrorists, and blames American values for causing terrorism. Not the person we want upholding our American way of life in Congress!
Omar responded to the move against her membership in Congress on Twitter saying, “I was elected with 78% of the vote by the people of Minnesota’s 5th District, not the Alabama Republican Party.” Too bad her district is known as the #1 FBI-watched terrorist recruiting ground in the United States! Article 1, Section 5 of the U.S. Constitution allows Congress to “punish its Members for disorderly behavior, and, with the concurrence of two-thirds, expel a Member.” She seems to forget her fellow Congressional members will ultimately decide if she keeps her seat, should the Alabama delegation bring official proceedings against her membership to the House floor.
We want this terrorist sympathizer who has excused the actions of Middle Eastern terrorists OUT of Congress! She has no respect for the American values of liberty and freedom. Instead, she advocates against the U.S. military, our veterans, and our way of life. It’s time for Rep. Omar to exit the Capitol building.
