Liberals are attacking Amy Coney Barrett for saying “sexual preference,” despite the fact that several Democratic leaders have used it in the past.
Several Democrats took to social media to attack Barrett for using the term.
“Sexual preference is an offensive and outdated term,” Hawaii Democrat senator Mazie Hirono said. “To suggest sexual orientation is a choice? It’s not. It’s a key part of a person’s identity. The LGBTQ+ community should be concerned with #WhatsAtStake with Judge Barrett on the Supreme Court.”
But Democrats have ignored the fact that people in their own party have also used the term in the past, as recently as May when Joe Biden said “sexual preference” during a virtual forum.
The Left said Amy Coney Barrett was bigoted because she used the term "sexual preference."

Ironically, the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg also used the term “sexual preference” during an interview from 2017.
Barrett eventually apologized for using the term, saying, “I certainly didn’t mean and would never mean to use a term that would cause any offense in the LGBTQ community.”
These attacks are another example of the left’s rules never applying to their own people. Democrats are desperate to keep Amy Coney Barrett out from the Supreme Court, enough that they will stoop to complete hypocrisy.
