President Donald Trump at a podium; impeachment of Trump

Democratic leaders have acknowledged their obvious quest for power in their impeachment of Trump.

Some Congressional Democrats have acknowledged that their impeachment of Trump is partly to keep him from ever running for president again.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said that comments from her colleagues indicate that they’re concerned about what they see as a potential future threat from President Trump.

“Every minute and every hour that he is in office represents a clear and present danger not just to the United States Congress but frankly to the country,” Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez claimed. She added that “we’re also talking about complete barring of the president, or rather of Donald Trump, from running for office ever again.”

It’s been determined that impeachment would not even succeed in removing Trump from office early. The earliest time an impeachment trial could start would be one hour after Trump leaves office on Jan. 20, Fox News reported.

Despite Biden’s apparent victory, it seems that Democrats are still desperate to gain control and take even more power. Their unnecessary impeachment of President Trump is evidence, as well as the mass efforts to silence conservative voices in the media.

Some, like Senator Lindsey Graham, have urged Congress to stop impeachment efforts in order to help create a more unified country. As Americans, we should support this call for Democrats to once and for all give up their witch hunt against President Trump. If we do, we can help build more unity and amity, no matter who is president.
