The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention unveiled their most recent COVID-19 guidance which includes continued precautions such as wearing a “well-fitted mask” while in any indoor setting.
Mask wearing protocols continue to be common across the country, and the CDC is calling for these mandates to continue well into 2021. They have stated that vaccinated people can generally gather without masks outside, but they should be masked up if attending any events indoors. These include events with only vaccinated people.
The agency listed a range of “activities” that vaccinated people are encouraged to participate in. These include visiting other fully-vaccinated people and visiting single-family households with unvaccinated people that are at low risk for severe symptoms. The CDC is showing a clear attempt to keep Americans on lockdown even as vaccines become more common and COVID-19 severity is on the downswing.
Additionally, the CDC recommends that all mask protocols apply to all Americans, including children. They want to encourage children to wear masks when playing sports, doing activities, and gathering with friends. They also advise that all events should be avoided regardless of vaccine status, but they encourage outdoor, low volume events to be preferred.
Americans are still living in an incredibly mandated state. They are forced into masks and businesses are forced to operate at less than full capacity, the CDC clearly does not believe in the vaccine that they promote if they continue to suggest regulations.
