President Biden’s nearly $2 million COVID relief bill is more about a liberal agenda than defeating the coronavirus.
President Joe Biden’s $1.9 trillion COVID relief package includes very little pandemic-related funds and a lot more allocated for pushing liberal policies.
It was reported that 1% of the package would be spent on vaccines, and only 5% will go toward “pandemic-related public health needs.” About $300 billion of the package is earmarked for liberal policy unrelated to the pandemic, including expanding Obamacare subsidies and increasing the minimum wage to $15 an hour after four years.
Biden has also claimed that it’s critical for the bill to be passed soon.
“We don’t have a second to waste when it comes to delivering the American people the relief they desperately need. I’m calling on Congress to act quickly and pass the American Rescue Plan,” he tweeted last week.

The relief package also wouldn’t be spent all at once, even for items that are apparently needed to reopen schools.
“The vast majority of the relief plan’s money for schools wouldn’t be spent in the current fiscal year, or even next year,” Reason’s Jason Suderman reported.
President Biden’s coronavirus response has been less about the good of the American people, and more about his own liberal agenda. He and Vice President Harris have already spouted the lie that they didn’t have a vaccine available when they took office. Now, it seems like Biden is trying to push left-wing policy on Americans under the guise of COVID-19 relief.
COVID-19 relief legislation should be exactly what it is intended for – the health, safety and prosperity of Americans.
